For sale is a fine Austrian filigree enamel spoon by Georg Adam Scheid. The spoon is 6 1/4 inches long and weighs 27 grams. The spoon has a stippled finish and is covered with a light gold wash. The pierced filigree handle has a small plaque of white enamel with hand-painted flowers. The spoon has not been monogrammed. It is marked “G.A.S.” with the Austrian dog-head 800 standard assay mark 1866-1922, with another tiny mark on the handle side

Condition on the spoon is fairly good. The enamel has some irregularities that seem to be original; there are some losses to the painted flowers though. There are some small black spots as well. Regardless, a desirable piece of Austrian silver.
