Fine depiction of an early 19th century warship on high seas. Flying the Dutch Flag and with cannons protruding from the starboard side, the ship is heaving on the high seas with further ships ahead on the horizon line. Beautifully painted with exceptional detailing to the ships rigging and masts. Quality effect to the swelling seas and sky and in this large scale size, a most impressive work.
Condition report:
The painting is in overall presentable condition though does have some light scuffing. Frame has light damage.
