Fine Old Large Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Jar Vase Phoenix Peonies with Lid

Up for sale is a fine quality jar vase. This attractive vase depicts a pair of beautiful phoenixes perching on a rock under a magnolia tree. They were surrounded by peonies of various colors. The whole scene presents auspicious meanings stemmed from Chinese culture. With a few touches, the artist was able to depict the happiness from their faces. Amazing details were created with enormous skills.

It is measured at about 10 inch tall with the lid on and 8 1/2 inch at its widest. It is in excellent condition considering its old age, except for neatly drilled hole at the bottom which also caused crazes inside the jar. A drilled hole through the lid. A filled fire craze on the bottom which was caused during manufacturing. It is assumed that the jar vase was used as a lamp vase at one time. A wonderful addition to your collection!
