romantic Parlor Guitar Made in Germany (probably Markneulirchen) around the 1920s
- about 93cm total length, scale lenght about 62cm
- quality spruce top with multiple black-white celluloide edgr and binding, inlayed mahogany ring surrounded with purfling edges around the soundhole
- all solid mahogany parlor body, lower bout 32,5cm, center bout 19,3cm, upper bout 25cm, sides hight 7,3cm-7,8cm, mahogany back with black white celluloide binding
- mahogany neck with unusual squared headstock headstock, slim U-shape, best quality fingerboard, large dot inlays, 17 frets + zerofret, original ebony nut, width at nut: 44mm
- original tuners with bone knobs (one replaced)
- original unique 6pin bridge with white pins (probably not original)
- ebony strap pin This fine piece is fully playable with (for a historic guitar) very good 3,4mm string action (E1 on 12th fret)
The guitar is in age related good condition and is showing some authentic signs of the time: In the back, the center stripe was replaced by a former owner. This could have been made better, but the body is seal and sounds (and it really sounds !)
The back seems to be reglued to the sides partially in the lower area
In the top, a short crack below the bridge was well and stable glued--> Please see picturesOtherwise, there are no other cracks or damages on this unique pieceThe top is showing moderate signs of the time and playing. The original shellac varnish is showing authentic and characteristical signs of the time--> Please see picturesThe fingerboard is showing some harmless signs of wear between the first three frets, the frets are showing no signs of playing and were rounded. The fingerboard was cleaned and oiled
