Description We are pleased to offer this fine, nicely decorated Japanese blue & white studio porcelain bowl. It is signed on the bottom with the mark of Kato Shubei II. This bowl most likely dates to the early 20th century. It is a little over 10 inches across. Overall the condition is very good. There is very minor wear from age and use. There is a minor glaze miss on the outside of the bowl from the original firing of the piece, please see photos. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. This fine old Japanese porcelain bowl is fresh from an old estate.
