Fine Unique Chinese Antique Famille Rose High Footed Porcelain Bowl Tongzhi Mark:

This Chinese porcelain bowl is hand painted in famille rose enamel. It was made to mimic a flower petal. On the green ground of the bowl, it features four rounded reserves accented with ruyi border, each containing a character, which means it was custom made to order. The exterior of the bowl is decorated in blue color falangcai. According to Gotheborg, \"the term falangcai is usually applied to the particularly fine enameled decorated in the imperial workshops of the palace in Beijing, using the fully developed famille rose palette.\" The piece is richly gilt on the rim. There is a six character Tongzhi reign mark on the bottom (1862-1874AD). It is dated circa Qing Dynasty. The bowl is in Superb Antique condition with No chip, crack, or restoration. Normal enamel gilt wear. It is measured at about 10 1/8 inch by 8 1/8 inch at the upper rim and about 2 3/16 inch tall. A very beautiful Chinese porcelain piece for your collection.
