This is a great spinning top that has a ringing sound when spins. There are no batteries and all one needs to do is to push down the handle. It is great for young toddlers -- its easy and no batteries needed. This top is still in great shape. I cannot tell you exactly how old it is but I think its at least 15 years old but one would never know its that old as it still looks nearly new and still works great.
