They belonged to a neighbor that was a flight captain during WWII. Included is his letter from the \"WAR DEPARTMENT\" dated 19 Feb 1944 to

report to 5th Ferrying Group, Air Transport Command, Love Field Dallas TX as a civilian pilot at a salary of $3,600 annum. Included also is a two sided

13 page typed users manual (INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TYPE A NAVAGATION COMPUTER) Date 8-1-41, you also get two clear plastic rules and cover

and 2 cases as pictured, one of plastic (labeled MODEL R1 AND MODEL R2), the leather case says \"AMERICAN AIRLINES\", likely from the 1950\'s.

The oldest flight computer was likely usedin WWII but it does predate that period (1933). That one is rare and highly collectible. Ask if there are questions.
