Ford : Model A HOT ROD REAL HENRY STEEL FLATHEAD V8 MUST SEE PICS:
$20000.00

Hi, you are viewing an Incredible REAL 1931 Ford Henry Steel Hot Rod that was built as a Hot Rod in the 1950s and then redone in 1969 and then repainted in 1985 (when I bought the car). I have owned this car since 1985 except the last six years, it has been owned by my best friend down here in Florida. When this car was redone in 1969 (in Illinois) it was titled as a 1969 Homemade and has been ever since (in IL, WI, and now in FL). This Hot Rod runs and drives very good and is a blast to drive, but it is not something your teenager is going to hop in and drive away. This car is an Old School Hot Rod and drives like an Old School Hot Rod. The V8 Flathead (believed to be a 1948 Mercury) runs fantastic with no smoke or funny noises and has that Fantastic Sound that only an old souped-up Flathead can make, pure music !! It still has the Model A 3 speed floor shifted trans and the Model A Original Banjo Style rear-end. It has a new clutch and heavy duty pressure plate, its is also old school, it takes a little effort, but that is all part of the fun. All trans gears work, but when you let off the gas in second gear it has a habit of poping out of second gear (only when you let off the gas while it is still in second or you can just hold it in) and I have been driving it that way for 30 years but the new owner may want to fix that issue (bad synchro or bearing?) or rebuild the trans someday. This car does have some major improvements over original for an old school car, such as FRONT DISC BRAKES, a more modern coil-over shocks rear suspension (which most modern Replica Hot Rods use today),and a new gas tank installed (and it locks) behind seat. It also has a LOCKING and Tilt Steering Column (done in the early 80s) and an Electric Fan that goes on and off at the temperature you set with a thermostat, and runs cool even in hot Florida. The paint is 30 years old (I had it done back then) but actually still looks pretty darn good. There are a few small paint raised areas in the middle-side area of the doors and a couple other spots (bottom rear) where the paint slightly raised just after I had it painted back then and hasn\'t changed a bit since then. This old Hot Rod is actually VERY Solid and rust-free (and the underbody too !). The interior has been kept very nice since it was done in the early 80s. The dash, carpet, door panels and rumble seat areas are all very nice. The main seat has a couple of small tears that have been sewn up (not real noticeable) but otherwise presents very well. The interior also has a new leather Ford V8 Banjo-Style steering wheel (costs $400.00) that looks Great ! The tires are nice and the wheels are Brand New (there are no miles on the new wheels). The headlights (new style much brighter inner bulbs), brakelights, turn signals, dash lights and gauges all work (except horn and gas gauge, never looked into fixing it, you can see the gas in the gas tank with it being upright behind seat). So, in general, this is not a perfect show car, but NOT a rat rod either by any means. It is just a Very Nice and Very Appealing Real Hot Rod. At every car show I attended, I had many people come up to me and tell me that this car was the Absolute Coolest Car at the Whole Show (especially when I started it up with that Sweet Flathead Sound) !! If I didn\'t buy this car in 1985 I could never sell it for this price, and you could NEVER build a Real One like this for this price today, so good luck offerding, and Oh Yea, if you don\'t like absolutely endless attention wherever you go, then this car is not for you! Thanks, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Serious Offers Only !! Please ask any questions you have before making offer. I am selling this car for a real estate transaction, so PLEASE be 100%
