Purchased directly from the estate of the original owner, Jerry Wasserburg, a Cal Tech geochemist well known for his role in helping NASA to preserve and date the moon rocks that returned from the Apollo space missions. He was an expert on lunarrocks and meteorites.

NOTE: This one is NOT original art--but it IS signed by Johnny Hart.

The inscription reads \"To Professor Wasserburg with best wishes--Johnny Hart.\"

What is noteworthy about this strip is that it relates perfectly to Dr. Wasserburg\'s job at Cal Tech, which had to do with unlocking the secrets in the stars and acquiring budgets to do that. So the topic of this strip would be something Dr. Wasserburg could personally relate to.

This enlarged strip is NOT original comic art--just enlarged, and SIGNED by Johnny Hart. Date on the strip is 1970.

In very good condition overall, framed. The handwritten inscription and autograph may have faded slightly.
