A 1940 Postmaster appointment/ commission certificate with Franklin Delano Roosevelt signature. This was issued to Anna L Hicks, Wallace County, Sharon Springs Kansas. Measures approximately 18 1/8\" x 14\", condition is very good. It has some very light wrinkles and creases, the paper has darkened some with age, has a few lightly darkened spots here and there. It looks better with regards to these issues in person than it does in the first photo, these issues appear somewhat exaggerated due to the lighting being a bit low.
