This sale is for a VERY COLLECTIBLE, FRANKLIN MINT, 1955 FORD THUNDERBIRD, MECHANICAL COIN BANK, IN A DRIVE IN DINER THEME SETTING. This metal coin bank, is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with no damage, or missing parts. This is a very well made bank, using metal, rather than plastic, and the entire piece weighs in at 6 POUNDS & 2 OUNCES. The 1955 Ford Thunderbird, is in an AQUA BLUE color, with a WHITE roof. The base is in a two tone GRAY. The mechanical coin bank, depicts a Drive In Diner setting, complete with a waitress on roller skates, holding a tray with ketchup, a menu sign, the Drive In Diner rear sign (tall one), and of course, a beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird. The bank is very simple to operate. Simply place your coin, onto the tray, and pull back the waitress, to the beginning of the skate track. The waitress is now locked into place. To release the coin, all you need to do, is to press down, on the round pink menu sign, on the left, and watch the waitress skate towards the open window on the drivers side, and releases the coin inside. Don\'t worry, your money is safe and sound, and to retrieve the coins, simply open up the rear trunk hood, and remove them. The rear, tall Drive In sign, is removable. The base is in a sculptured design. The base measures 13 INCHES IN LENGTH, & 10 INCHES IN WIDTH. The rear sign measures a tad under 8 INCHES IN HEIGHT. The underside of the base, has 6 large round feet, made out of hard rubber, which allows you to place the bank on top of any surface, without worrying about scratches.
