Limited Norman Rockwell series \"Spirit of Scouting\" produced in 1972 by the Franklin Mint.Sculpted by Richard Baldwin using Norman Rockwell\'s depiction of the 12 Boy Scout Laws.Issued in a limited mintage of 26,971 sets, after whichthe dies were destroyed not allowing them to be reproduced.Each silver (.925 silver content) proof medal has been edge stamped with the Mint Seal stating its .925 silver content. Many of these sets were melted due to their silver content when silver was in the $50\'s a ounce peaking at $54 in the 1980\'s and other sets have medals missing making these sets rarer each year. This is a complete set of 12Sterling Silver Medals.Each Proofmedal is in a Lucite holderand inserted into a forest green with gold lettering frame that can be hung on a wall or displayed. The original brown storage case is included.
