PAYPAL ONLY. US buyers ONLY. Franklin Mint Proof Limited Edition Large Silver & Bronze Bicentennial Medal Set . Both medals are approximately 63 mm (2-1/2 in.) diameter. The silver piece is 3.853 Troy Oz. pure silver. One side of each medal depicts the faces of 30 honored Americans that includes George Washington, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Neil Armstrong, Robert E. Lee, Mark Twain, Babe Ruth, Martin Luther King, Jr., Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, etc. The other side gives the dates 1776-1976 together with the first 40 words to the Preamble of the US Constitution. Each medal is numbered 1677 on the edge. These medals were designed and sculpted by Gilroy Roberts, Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1948-1964. Included is a small paper booklet that described the medals as well as identifies each face on the medals, Certificate of Authenticity that matches the serial number and the case (has a few dings) that encloses the medals.
