This listing is for an awesome assortment of dinnerware produced circa 1900 by the Franz Anton Mehlem pottery in Bonn, Germany, all with a fish motif and gilt trim. The oval platter measures 23” x 10”; the gravy boats are about 4” tall affixed to oval bases about 5” x 9”; and the plates (12 in all) measure 9” in diameter. Various fishes are depicted in bright and earthy colors with gold trim. As to condition, one of the gravy boats has a smooth interior crack; there is also slight wear to the gold trim in places and some crazing and discoloration (particularly on the backs) as would be expected after 100 years. A variety of Mehlem hallmarks is also represented in this set; some pieces are impressed with the FAM logo, while others have the castle hallmark, and some have both marks.
