Item up for your consideration is an Antique Fraternal Sword. we believe that this Sword is of the Order of the Knights of Pythias and is C. 1800\'s. The Sword is signed (N. S. Leavitt). This Sword measures approx. 37 in. overall length in the Scabbard and 35 1/2 in. long out of the Scabbard. The Blade measures approx. 28 in. long. We got this Sword at an Estate Sale in Coastal Downeast Maine.
Sword has surface and finish wear. There is dust and dirt from age, display and storage. There is light surface rust. The handle and other ornamental parts on both the sword and the scabbard have patina. The engraving on the blade is clean and clear except for close to the handle where there is some soil and stains. There are scuffs on the blade. The chain on the handle is intact. This sword is in good overall condition considering it\'s age.Please refer to the condition description and pictures as you consider this item.
