Let My People Go! A Service for the Forty-fourth Anniversary of the Freedmen\'s Aid Society. Cincinnati, Ohio: The Freedmen\'s Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church, [1910]. 8 7/8” x 6½”. Self wrappers. Pp. 16 (including wrappers). Very good, lightly toned, light diagonal crease where folded and a damp stain in the lower inner corner of the front wrapper getting progressively smaller through the first 6 leaves.
The Methodist Episcopal Freedman\'s Aid Society was founded in 1866 to set up and teach in schools in the South for freedmen and their children. This pamphlet contains the words and music for its anniversary service and celebrates its 23 schools in the South as well as over 300,000 people educated. The final leaf contains a map, as well as a list of its schools.
