Offered on sale is an vintage very ornate and decorative French Rococo style small lidded storage box probably for stamps, pills or other very small items.
Made of cast brass, the box sits on a highly decorative base with scroll and foliate decoration, standing on four decorative feet. The box has a decorative hinged lid. Inside are five slightly different sized compartments which are slightly deeper to the back than the front and have an angled /sloping front. Probably designed to hold stamps, pills, small coins or smalljewellery.
The brass is in very good, clean and bright condition.
