Description of item for sale:
Thisromanticspelter sculpture is by the well known French artist Auguste Moreau (1834-1917). This is a very nice example of his work with detailed figures and a beautiful marble base. The sculpture is made from spelter finished in dark bronze.It is invery goodantique condition with onlya small amount of warnfinish onthe spelter on the base (see photo). The inscription on the base reads "Jeunesse" ("youth" in French). Dimensions: 18" wide, 11" in diameter.
