French Brass Bronze Ormolu Mantle Clock W Davis & Sons Birmingham Antique c 1890:

A fine quality brass or bronze case French mantle clock. The case is cast brass or bronze and shows no signs of gilding. The dial and mechanism signed W Davis and Sons Birmingham. The eight day movement, which strikes the hours and half hours on a clear toned bell, is in working order. The back plate is engraved in copper plate lettering with the name of the retailer. The enamel dial has had a top quality restoration at some stage. The dial has no glass, suggesting this clock may have been under a glass dome, however there is a glass door to exclude dust on the rear of the case.See photos for size and condition.I will include a clock setting up leaflet, but if you are not familiar with mechanical clocks you may need to find a clock person to help you set the clock going in its new location.
