Ihave for sale a mega rare 1880s carriage clock made in Francepresented in the rare case style which contains ornate filigree workand chasing running around the entire clock but with the two sidepanels which are also gilded filigree panels all totally original tothis clock not added at a later date and 100% French not a cheapChina copy.

Theclock is in stunning condition one of the best we have seen, made inFrance a very rare find these days.

Thecase/movement/platform have been fully Ultra-Sonic cleaned, polishedand re-built all hand polished hard to show on the photos.

Thisclock comes with the tired but original box and the key!!

TheCase

Thecase is in solid heavy brass and stands 6.25” high x 3” wide witha depth of 2.75” it is in perfect condition with mint thickbevelled glass back door and top viewing glass. This clock has thefiligree and chasing work running around the clock and is in goodoriginal condition , this clock is a real stunner with the thicksolid matching handle.

TheDial

Thedial is in mint original condition in white porcelain with Arabicnumerals and housed in a stunning gilded mask which contains chasedflower design and a chased centre which is placed on a solid shinybrass plate so simply shimmers and shines in the natural sun light,also the clock retains the original black ornate hands.

Thefront chasing is in front of a solid brass sheet which in sun lightjust shines out showing off the detail a real cracking clock.

TheMovement

Themovement is an eight day time only; the movement has been fullyultra-sonic cleaned had a new spring fitted, hand polished servicedand oiled so keeping good time over the eight days via the originalserviced silvered platform escapement.
