I had themre-foamed about 20 years ago. I just dropped off 6 woofers(2 Kappa 8,2 Kappa 7, 2 Advent) for re-foaming at Gabriel Sound in PequannockNJ, 11 miles from me. ($62 each plus tax, ouch!)Iwould NEVER have the woofers replaced!!! By obtaining a qualitygood foam, angled replacement, ($21 on ) you can re-foam yourselfcontinue to listen to the amazing sound they produce. Gabriel Soundis fabulous!!Ido not want to re-foam these and have them sit around as spares(advice Todd, the owner at Gabriel Sound). It would be best tore-foam when ready to use. I am moving other components from my Kappa9\'s to the Kappa 8\'s and 7\'s, then will sell the 9 crossovers andcabinetsThereason Infinity Kappa 9 Bass sounds so incredible:Nothaving an internal casing volume means that they are not recuperatingthe woofer\'s energy behind the front membrane (no bass reflex). Theimmediate advantage is a clean actively driven bass, not a partlyrecuperated bass through a bass reflex process. This of courseobliges the implementation of two woofers. Two woofers mean powerhungry speakers that will drain amps for driving two woofers activelyto deliver the prompt response.Iwill ship as inexpensively as possible. I prefer Fedex Ground. I know ship to west coast will be $68+
