1946 STAMPS ~ 3d

Complete sheet of 120 3d GB stamps, issued in 1946 to commemorate peace and victory following World War II; with a possible minor flaw in one stamp (column 4, line 6): tiny white spot south-west of the ear. The design incoporates a square and compass, and a trowel -symbols of freemasonry, reflecting George VI\'s involvement with this Craft.

Each stamp: 4.1cm x 2.4cm

Complete sheet (including margins): 26.9cm x 50.7cm

Marginal markings:

· S/46 (lower left)

· 2. (lower left)

· 34646 (mid-right)

Condition: Individual stamps mint; sheet has been folded along some of the perforations (once vertically, twice horizontally), causing creasing to the side margins adjacent to the folds, and separation of the perforations in the upper margin adjacent to the fold. A possible minor printing flaw to one stamp is noted above. The sheet will be folded three times, along the existing folds, for posting.
