This is my first-time offer for sale of the classic Artist Proof production of the John F. Kennedy, Jr. doll, \"John-John.\" My mother purchased him directly from the Great American Doll Company for her collection, and as an investment. It is an exceptionally well-made artifact, capturing an historically poignant moment in American history and in the lives of my parents, who witness the events firsthand. It includes a fragment of President JFK\'s own clothing.
It has remained sealed in its original packaging since my mother received her, and this is what I\'m selling today. The details of the doll were mostly all taken, with permission, from the last newsletter and archives of The Great American Doll Company, who made some of the most elegant and creative art masterpieces, at least in my lifetime, to ever come out of America. Here is where the slogan, \"Made in America,\" really shines!
Most of the information contained about John-John was included in GADCO newsletters released in 2001 and 2002. All that we are selling here is the Artist Proof doll, as it was prepared and shipped to us years before. The Great American Doll Company has not produced any new dolls that I could find since John-John, although I did hear that they have created an offshoot company called \"Great American Eyewear,\" where they are producing limited editions of upscale, high quality, Presidential sunglasses, the first models, of course being in honor of Jackie and John Kennedy! Quite a surprise.
