GENTLY USED Vintage 1945 WWII US 5th Army Air Force IKE Jacket & Cap, Size 36 R:
$21.50

This field jacket, known as Ike jacket, was made on 1945, just before the end of WWII, by Philip Shlansky & Bros.
The size is 36 Regular; actual measurements when flat on a desk are: 19\" ~ 20\" across the chest, pit to pit; 25\" from shoulder seam to edge of cuff; 20\" from underarm seam to edge of cuff; 17\" shoulder to shoulder across the front of the jacket; 23\" from collar seam to edge of waistband along the back.
The waist is 18\" wide, side to side.
The owner was a 5th Army Air Force telecommunications specialist. The rank insignia is on the jacket; please notice the color of those patches is not yellow or gold, but rather very light gray or silver.
The jacket has the \"ruptured duck\" patch and time served insignia on the sleeves. We acquired it with a wool cap in perfect condition, folded under the left side epaulette as shown on pic # 1. In order to check the cap we had to remove it, but then we were able to put it back in place and it looks undisturbed. The cap, when flat, measures approximately 11\" long at the bottom edge. Notice the nice piping on it.
