This is a Fabulous example of a gorgeous Georgian/ Victorian large opal brooch pin. The sparkling large fire opal is held securely in place by a solid gold Eagles claw complete with full definition. There are no marks on this piece and I have taken it to my jeweller who tested thegold and found the claw was 18ct gold and the pin / brooch is 15ct gold
The Opal is stunning and has lovely colours. The gold setting is excellent. The workmanship is exceptional.
