WW2 German M40 Steel helmet has been period over painted with dark grey over a lighter grey, the surface is chipped all over from combat use, the shell is stamped Q66 (Quist Esslingen) batch number DN270.
Has original later pig skin liner, chinstrap is a copy, the long part anyway.
Decals are very worn but still visable, chicken wire itself is not rusted but the steel flat retaining stips are slightly.
A very good combat worn elite M40 WW2 German Hemet.
