The reverse reads Gibson, Portraits *Photographer* WORLD\'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION, Jackson Park, Chicago, Permanent Address 12 W. Huron St. Ann Arbor, Michigan. The World\'s Columbian Exposition, also known as the Chicago World\'s Fair and Chicago Columbian Exposition, was a world\'s fair held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus\'s arrival in the New World in 1492. Photographer J.J. Gibson and his wife May Clark Gibson came to Chicago, Illinois in 1893 to photograph the Exposition, and founded a photography business, which eventually became part of the Montgomery Ward photography studio. The gentleman in the photograph is identified in pencil on the back as Emil Keller. The vintage photo, showing light surface wear and some staining at the top from age and storage, will make a fine addition to any collection.
