georgiesz store Offering an ornate fish serving set from the late 1800\'s. They are made in Germany by the WMF company.
They are in very good condition with lots of details. There is a monogram at the end of the handle. It is hard to see and it reads FGS or TGS.
The knife measure 12 inches and the fork measures 10 inches.

This is WMF Modell R, which dates from 1896 to 1903. This period in Germany in known as \"Historismus,\" when historical and classical themes were revived in the late 19th Century. In this case, the revived style is Rococo. The emergence of Jugendstil in Germany (Art Nouveau in France) signaled the end of the Historismus Period.
