Magnificent Japanese antique hibachi.Strong cylindrical form withsublime deep amber glaze that when the light hits it just right gleems with subtle gold flecks. Artistically hand decorated with white flowers which stand out from all the way across the room. Very beautifully designed in classic Japanese fashion. Wonderful from any angle, has a marvelous presence. Used to heat homes and teahouses in Japan during the Shogun era and beyond, today these hibachi make wonderful planters and storage pieces. Of significant size, measures approximately 9 1/2\" tall and 9\"across.Dates to the early 1900s, and is in excellent antique condition exhibiting just minor wear commensurate with age.Thisexquisitebrazier would make astrikingaddition for the collector of fine Japanese antiques.
