We are offering thisANTIQUE SALINS, FRENCH MAJOLICA ASPARAGUS PLATTER W/ATTACHED CRADLE 1860-1900. The Salins les Bains manufacture was founded in 1857 in an old \"CAPUCINS\" abby in the Jura in the East of France.The scalloped turquoise edge is decorated with a large basketware border in a butter colour. In Excellent Antique Condition, with \"slight overall crazing\" This amazing piece being offered, presents with no cracks, major chips, crazing, flea bites or discoloration, and only slight widespread crazing, as is characteristic of these pieces. The only anomaly is that of a 1/4\" chip at the base of the outermost asparagus spear, as depicted in the photographs. Each end of the platter is scooped out to recover water & decorated with asparagus leaves, and Beautiful braided handles. Impressed with No.6 on the back & the black mark of the painter, Measuring 16 3/16 inches long, 9 7/16 wide \"A True Treasure from the Past\"
