Up for sale is an old framedphotograph. The frame will hold a 14 1/2”by 10”. The photo is about 8 1/2” by 6 3/4”.

This came from a collectionof Fred Harvey photographs. This photois unsigned and I am not sure where or who took the photo. The veneer from one of the corners ismissing.

Frederick Henry Harvey (June27, 1835 – February 9, 1901) was an entrepreneur who developed the Harvey Houselunch rooms, restaurants, souvenir shops, and hotels, which served railpassengers on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the GulfColorado and Santa Fe Railway, the Kansas Pacific Railway, the St. Louis-SanFrancisco Railway, and the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis.

As an innovative restaurateurand marketer, Fred Harvey is credited with creating the first restaurant chainin the United States.He was also a leader in promoting tourism in the American Southwest in the late19th century.
