$4999.99

We are pleased to offer this exceptional, Mid Century bronze and brass table. This is a fantastic, large table consistingof three cast bronze dolphins mountedon a bronze/brass triangular base. The dolphins are grand in scale and feature intricate detailing. Both thedolphins and the base have an originalgilded finish which as aged to a beautiful patina. The dolphins are attached to the base via large bolts. The table holds a very large piece of glass (not included) and the glass is designedto rest on the upturnedtail fins. We have pictured with a 42\" piece of glass but the table can easilyaccommodate a 66\" piece of glass. The table dates from the 1930s to the 1950s.Some sellersstate that the table isFrench but, this table is marked with a \"Z\" on the bottom which is usually indicative of Italian manufacturing. This is a fabulous, sculptural table of timeless design. It is in very good condition with some very minor \"dings\" on the base which are not distracting or severe.Similar tables are currentlyoffered on 1stDibs for thousands more than we are offering. Those tables oftenpossess a wooden base as opposed to this table which is entirelybronze/brass.

Please note: an member has inquired as to the white flecks on the bronze. This is a common (and cleanable) condition with older bronze pieces. In my efforts to display the table with honesty, I have not cleaned it with any chemicals orwaxes. According to an online bronze \"expert\", the white flecks are causedby the following:

\"What about white spots?
When you first get your bronze, borax powder – used in casting – can look like crystals. The borax may be still in the metal, but not visible until it gets wet. If you see these crystals, simply wash them off, or clean with paste wax.

You may also see some white spots due to residual ceramic material from casting as well. Again, simply clean it up with paste wax, and touch up the color with Kiwi wax.

After bringing your bronze home, high calcium levels in the water often cause white spots, especially in fountains. This happens often in locations with heavy mineral content. Remove the spots using a good paste wax, and use de-mineralizing chemicals to treat the water. (Note: De-mineralizing agents can be found in most pool supply stores.)\"

The table measures 30\" in height. The base is approximately 36\" in diameter. The top, tail fin section is approximately 33.5\" in diameter. THE TABLE IS EXTREMELY HEAVY.

Shipping via FREIGHT due to the weight of the table which is over 100 lbs. The shipping will include a custom wood crate for safe transit. We are offering free freight shipping with buy it now.Approved best offers will have a shipping charge of $500.00 added.
