Sumptuous antique French sterling silver 6pc oyster fork set, with opulent Louis XV styling. These outstanding forks features an intricate and meticulously detailed pierced and chased handle depicting floral, scrolling foliate and rocaille motifs. A small, discrete \'S\' monogram is engraved on the back of the forks. Beautifully hand crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is stamped with the French Minerve 1st standard silver mark (.950), and makers mark for prestigious Parisian silversmith Jean GRANDVIGNE, active in 1868. Renowned for both the outstanding quality and the intricate designs of his work, Grandvigne\'s creations were frequently sold by the House of Odiot to discerning clients. Professionally cleaned by our Parisian silversmith, condition is excellent with only light signs of use to note.
