The War Cross 1940, was established in 1940 and was awarded to Army, Navy, and Airforce militarians for distincguished services in the field of battle.
War Cross was awarded for the 1940-45 war, 1946-49 war, and the Korean War.
The War Cross 1940 is in the form of a bronze crucifix, whose antennae are gradually spreading to the extreme. Axes of the cross are crossed with swords with the handles downwards. In the center there is a circle in the middle of which is depicted the monogram of the King George II. The back side bears the date 1940. Cross has moveable pierced Crown with loop on the top.
The Ribbon of the medal is a silk band divided by three isorized rods, two reds and one blue in the middle.

Moveable pierced Crown and Loop are also in good condition with no damage. Original Ribbon is in a fair condition, front side is slight fadded and back side shows glou sticky residues, ribbon is without discoloration, age rust stains, holes, tears, odor, or any restoration.
