Galiano Vintage 1930\'s,14&1/2\" Parlor Size Guitar, \"Little Italy\" D\'Angelico Gem:
$7500.00

This is a real gem of an example of these Galiano medium size guitars.
Inside the body this guitar carries a label stating \"A. Galiano, Fabricante Di Chitarre e Mandolini\", which is found on quite a few \"Italian Guild\" instruments. The design and construction details of this instrument strongly suggest it is the product of the Raphael Ciani shop, where the young John D\'Angelico learned his craft.
ps here is an exchange of ideas about this unique historical instrument that I had today 3/1/2018 with another er.He (or she) wrote:\" $7,500.
Don\'t be so stupid.
Your price on this is one of the most obnoxious things I\'ve ever seen.\"

& I replied:

I love this guitar, to me it is a priceless one of kind gem. I\'ve owned and played it for many decades. It is an awesome guitar and historically significant. I know I\'ve seen the low prices on some of these old galianos. Just like one can buy a Les Paul or Strat for a few hundred bucks, & then there are others that people pay hundreds of thousands. Why do people pay 10 million for a Stradivarius violin (if you can find one in your lifetime for sale?
There are lesser Galianos and then there is this one. I love it. Don\'t be so quick to rush to your negative opinion.
Be open minded, we learn something new everyday.
Peace & Love

A few normal little dings and small cracks along the Rosewood or Mahogony (ps. they look similar here)grain lines on the back, no front cracks in the genuine straight grain high quality Adirondack Spruce Top, and no loose braces or anyother problems; small normal age cracks in the grain of the Rosewood or Mahoganyback or sides on these type of aged vintage guitars are actually \"good cracks\" as they open up the sound even a little bit more, This one has excellent volume projection and tone, and really nice medium to low playing action (you don\'t want it too low as you will lose some string harmonics with too low relief profile; this one is just right and not too high either; plays very well all over the neck.
Nice whitewood binding around the fingerboard gives an ivory appearance.
Original frets and Ebony fingerboard show no signs of wear.
Solid one piece Mahogony V Neck

Here is some of the history of these Galiano Guitars:

\"Galiano\" wasa brand name that was shared by several Italian-American luthiers working in the Little Italy section of Manhattan in the first quarter of the 20th Century. What has become referred to as the \"Italian Guild\" consisted of a set of semi-affiliated small musical instrument stores/workshops operated in the city by immigrant luthiers including Antonio Cerrito, Raphael Ciani, J. Nettuno, Nicolai Turturro, Michael Iucci, and others. Some of these craftsmen can be traced back father to son and master to apprentice all the way back to the famous European Stradivarius and Guarneri stringed instrument shops of the 1700\'s.

{The Galianoguitar listed here costs much less than one made by these famous \"ancestors\" like Stradavrius or Guarneri, who did make guitars in addition to their now very desirable violins} (if you can find one and if it is for sale ! (ps. and if you have the money). This Galiano is also very rare and a great musical & historical instrument, andis available.

This historically significant Galiano is much more affordable! & makes beautiful music as
