About this piece: This jar is wheel thrown and hand built. Raku fired to about 1895 degrees. Cracking in the glaze is a characteristic of the Raku firing process and is usually desirable. Lots of textures on this piece and nice glaze coloring. It\'s a little over 7\" tall.There\'s a crack in the bottom but it\'s sealed. There is no lead in the glazes but then Raku pots are not suitable for food or beverages anyway. I also make functional teapots, smoking pipes, mugs, bowls, plates and other functional ware that is suitable for food and beverages.
