GENE HAZELTON (1919-2005) original Flintstones Sunday Comic Strip featuring Fred, Barney, Wilma and Pebbles. Here is the original one of a kind art for the classic \"The Flintstones\" comic strip dated April 27, 1969. This vintage Sunday large format art is written and drawn by Gene Hazelton. The strip was distributed by the McNaught Syndicate, whose copyright appears in the 6th panel.Gene Hazelton was born in 1919 and by his teenage years, he was agood enough cartoonist to get a job assisting others on popular newspaper panels such as \"They\'ll Do It Every Time\". By 1939, Gene took a low level job at Disney and worked his way up to work on such classics as FANTASIA and PINNOCHIO. Gene eventually moved on to other studios including Warner Brothers and MGM. When Hanna and Barbera started their own studio, Gene was the key artist in the establishment of its style and development of the early H-B programs. Beginning in 1961, one of the main duties was to supervise the production and write or draw- the syndicated newspaper features of \"The Flintstones\" and \"Yogi Bear\". Frame has slight scuff marks and chips on outer side of frame.
