A well provenanced, genuine ancient Chinese Eastern Zhou Dynasty bronze knife \'coin\', dating to approximately770 BC - 256 AD. Of typical form, with ridged handle and slanted blade.The handle has an oval perforation, likely used to stack & storethe knife with similar examples, by means of a threaded rope. An excellent example of early Chinese currency / commodity money.

Weight: 6.10 g. Condition: Intact. Unrestored and witha beautiful malachite and azurite patina.
