George III Silver Chamberstick John Lias London 1806 Candlestick Georgian Antiqu:
$583.44
Sweet little George III silver chamberstick with feather mounted double scroll handle and conical snuffer. The plain base has a simple band around the rim, replicated on the detachable sconce and the stem has a series of decorative knops. The nozzle is slim (approx. 3/8\") and so would use a taper rather than a candle. Hallmarked under the base and to the sconce for London 1806 with maker\'s mark for John Lias. The snuffer is unmarked and so possibly a well matched replacement.
It measures 4 1/4\" rim to handle, 3 5/8\" wide rim to rim, and 2 1.2\" high to the top of the nozzle, 3\" including the snuffer. It weighs 118g/3.8ozt. Condition is very good with no damage and light surface wear from age and use.
