George Mann Niedecken Designed Prairie Style Quarter Sawn Oak Slant Back Chair Frank Lloyd Wright!Item DescriptionIn the era of Mission style furniture made popular by Gustav Stickley, George Mann Niedecken was collaborating with Frank Lloyd Wright to create the Prairie style. I do not know the history of this chair. The slant back and curved feet are reminiscent of the furniture in Frank Lloyd Wrights houses of the early 1900s. The golden oak finish appears to be original. This is a simple and innovative design that was modern for its time. I bought this chair several years ago in Madison Wi.Happy offerding!Excellent vintage condition.
Joints are a little loose and 1 small piece of trim is broken. See pictures.17\" high seat
