ABOUT THE BUMPER STICKER: Offered for your consideration is this vintage political bumper sticker from the 1972 presidential campaign in which George McGovern and his running mate, Sargent Shriver ran on the Democratic Party ticket against Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew. This bumper sticker is guaranteed 100% authentic as it comes from my own personal collection and I have personally had it since obtaining it from a McGovern for President campaign office back in 1972. At the bottom of the bumper sticker in small print are the words “Paid for by McGovern for President Committee Washington D.C, Marian Pearlman, Tres.” There is some sort of tiny logo in the lower right-hand corner.

This terrific old bumper sticker measures approximately 11 1/2 inches long by 3 inches wide. Never used, this vintage bumper sticker still has the multi-piece brown protective paper across the back. A small vertical crease appears in the front along the lines of one of the sections of that rear protective paper and there is a tiny spot at the bottom edge of the bumper sticker - otherwise this looks mint. As it was stored and not displayed, the background is unfaded and remains a deep blue. Attached scan is of the actual bumper sticker for sale.
