Georgian Foil Backed Citrine & Enamel Sterling Silver Pendant - Earring:
$850.00

This is a Period era Georgian piece. It is crafted from Sterling silver. The stones are foil backed vitrines which are step cut and round cut to form this lovely flower. Between each petal is green enamel which is in surprisingly fabulous condition for a piece this old. It dates from the late 1700\'s. The stones are all intact and original. They are all in very good condition with very little wear. I see one tiny chip on one corner of one stone, the rest would be considered light abrasions, with crisp cut edges very good condition. Each stone is foil backed. The foil is in good condition with minor deterioration as to be expected in a piece this old. I believe it was or is an earring, but the backing is so huge that I bought it would any longer work as an earring, so I added a sterling silver jump ring to the top which can now be better worn as a pendant. However, I really feel that a jeweler should put a new bail on it so that it lays flat. This can easily be done by removing the pin at the bottom and placing a swivel bail in the earrings place. no soldier would need to be used and I feel that a very capable trusted jeweler would have no problem doing this.
