Description
A very Good Quality English Georgian Mahogany Brass Bound Campaign Lap Desk, The exterior with a Gilded Monogram to the centre and Brass bands on the corners. Inset Brass Military type handles to the sides, one of which pulls out to reveal an Oak lined Drawer which runs the full length of the Desk.
The Desk opens out to reveal a red Leather lined flap inside the top which drops down to reveal a Green leather backed Marbleized paper pouch for papers and behind that, six red Leather pouches for Letters etc. and a criss cross section with ribbons. The base of the Desk has two Cut Glass Silver plated topped Inkwells either side of a removable Pen Tray.The Desk folds out again to reveal a Green Felt writing surface below which is a secret panel which springs open by pressing the side to reveal Three Rosewood faced cedar lined dove tailed Drawers with Bone Finials.

Two splits running from two corners on the top. 4\" and 1\" long. Bolt securing the side drawer missing. A tear to the marbleized paper on the side of the pouch inside the top.Felt on the base worn.
