Georgian solid silver dessert spoon by Richard Crossley & George Smith

Assayed in London, dated 1809.

Old English pattern , crested with a horse and motto \"Festina Lente\" which translates to \"Diligently , but not hurriedly\" , this crest and motto are associated with the Trotter family name.

Condition: Very good, overall typical surface wear, small scratches/ nicks. No splits , dents or repairs. Excellent crest , very nice example overall.

Hallmarks: Struck to the reverse of the handle with makers mark RC/GS , Georgian duty mark , date letter O, London assay mark , lion passant.
