German/Prussian officer\'s ceremonialsword with scabbard. I bought this sword several years ago from a dealer who estimated it to be of pre-World War I vintage, circa 1900. The sword measures 37 inches overall and the blade measures 31.75 inches. The scabbard alone measures 33 inches. The tip of the sword is quite sharp but the blade edge is notsharp (thought presumably it could be sharpened if desired). The sword itself is in remarkable condition -- the blade is clean and smooth with no visible signs of rust or wear, the grip is in perfect condition and the guard shows minimal wear. The scabbard has some pitting and minor discoloration (see photos), but no more than one might expect from a century-old weapon. The scabbard has two rings to attach to a belt.
