The K-98 was issued with a high quality bayonet produced by some of Germany\'s finest cutlers. This German WW2 ELITE DIAMANT K-98 MAUSER BAYONET is in excellent condition, with some pitting to the blade tip, some light scattered scratching, pitting, and finish abrading at each middle side of the blade, some patina to the pommel, and with some light scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the bayonet is in excellent shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, it features a 9 7/8\" spearpoint blade that retains approximately 93% of the original blued finish, sports elegant ridged dark brown bakelite handle scales, and is stamped at the ricasso and bottom spine with its maker code and date, \"i\" and \"41\", respectively, denoting manufacture by Elite Diamant in 1941. It carries the serial number and letter \"8546 / b\" marked at the reverse ricasso, boasts a fully functional \"locking lug\" attachment at the pommel, and is a beautiful example of a rare, originalGerman WW2 ELITE DIAMANT K-98 MAUSER BAYONET.
