This was an estate sale find. It is a German Stirnpanzer Brow Plate for WWI helmets M16 & M18, also transitional helmets Germany used in WWII.(according to the owners of the estate).Very heavy steel or cast iron?, not sure. Very good condition, with small scratches and nicks. Not sure if original or reproduction.
