Here I have a WWI-era German dress \"Walking Out\" bayonet, model 1854 (the later 1871 model had a ring and vestigial spring) with a decorative design engraved on the blade. The hilt is marked \"46.A.531\" which presumably was a troop/regiment ID. The tip of the scabbard is loose/not attached as the brass staple holding it in place is no longer there, but otherwise complete. Please, feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have about this item.This is an original item and not a reproduction, as this came out of the estate of my late great-uncle who fought in Germany in World War II and collected this and other items before returning home.
