Rare and highly collectible this field dug .69 caliber Confederate Musket Hammer and .69 Caliber Minnie Ball was recovered from the Gettysburg Battlefield, on private property with the owners permission.The Battle of Gettysburg was fought July 1-3, 1863 and the 3 days of fightingresulted in over 51,000 casualties.

The .69 cal. smooth bore musket was a favorite weapon of the confederacy, but only a few units possessed them. The 69 cal. bullet has been called the \"Monster Minnie Ball\", which increased accuracy and energy. It was the largestmusket round used in the CivilWar, and measures11/8 inches long and nearly 3/4 inches wide. This Bullet and Musket Hammer are dug Gettysburg relic\'s and will make a fascinating addition to your Civil War Collection. Both items are a rare find on the battlefield, and are highly collectible.
